With most college students concentrating on March Madness and the men’s Frozen Four in a few weeks, the women’s Frozen Four has been a bit overlooked. With its semi-final being Friday and the finals taking place today. Need a run-down on who’s who before watching today’s game? Puck It Up has got your back!
The four teams that made it to the semi-finals are Clarkson, Colgate, Ohio State, and Wisconsin; all amazing teams. For Colgate and Ohio State, this is the first year they were in the semi-finals. But for Clarkson and Wisconsin, it was a fight for two of the best teams in college hockey, neither of them new to getting this far.
Both semi-final games took place on Friday and both ended during overtime. The Clarkson and Ohio State game ended with a score of 1-0 for Clarkson in regular overtime. Meanwhile, the Colgate and Wisconson game ended in double overtime with a score of 4-3 for Colgate. Both games were intense and well worth their place in the college hockey hall of fame.
The final game between the Clarkson and Colgate women’s teams will take place at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis with the puck drop at 3:00 pm EST. Good luck to both teams today and my the hockey odds be ever in your favor!
